The veterans in Reigning Sound, originally born in Tennessee but now based in Asheville, offer "What Did I Tell You," a tight burst about breaking down but not breaking up. Then Last Year's Men, the upstarts from Chapel Hill, shout out "In My Car," a frantic tale of a desperate (emotional) getaway.
